"Up Close and Personal" Bob Rost has been singing with the King's Travelers for about 25 years. As a matter of fact, Bob holds the distinguished position of being the only original member still with the group. In addition to his bass singing abilities, Bob also drives the King's Travelers bus. Bob's wife, Shirley provides very much needed support and encouragement for Bob and the group as their booking agent and sound technician. Behind the scenes, she manages every detail for the group, from scheduling services to wardrobe to logistics. Bob and Shirley are both retired and live in Marshfield, Missouri. Bob & Shirley have 3 children. Keith and his wife Carri, Tracy, Brian and his wife Karen and their 2 grandchildren, Jordan and Hunter all live in Southwest Missouri.
Jim Nickell has been with the King's Travelers since 1994. Jim, and his wife Rose live in Republic, Missouri, where Jim enjoys retirement and Rose is employed full-time by a local veterinary clinic. Together with their dog, Mitzi, they enjoy their home and family in Republic and traveling with the King's Travelers.
Regetta Long and her husband Terry live in Marshfield. She enjoys playing the piano, fill-in on the keyboard and is trying to learn the banjo. She is employed by Rost Ready Mix, Inc. in Marshfield, MO. and has one son, Shane, a daughter-in-law Tammy, one grandson, Preston and they are expecting another baby boy any time now.
Linda Dickinson and her husband Kenny live in Hartville. Linda is employed by John Deere Reman Springfield. She has one son, Jason, a daughter-in-law Sunny and two beautiful grandchildren, Josie & Johnny. Linda also sings with her son, Jason, her brother, Alan and Sam Pursley in PromiseLand Quartet. Did I mention Regetta and Linda are Bob's nieces? Their love of Southern Gospel music goes back to their Great-Grandfather, Sam Rost. Sam, their Grandfather, Kail Rost, and Linda's dad, Donald Rost served as President of the Webster County Singing Convention. "The girls" began singing in a gospel quartet when they were around 5 years old. They have been with the King's Travelers since 2007.
